Comic Title: Annihilation Plot / Overview / Spoilers: Annihilation Day, Plus 222. Galactus and the Silver Surfer are free. They're not happy. Annihilus' troops are on the run. The Surfer unleashes Galactus' rage upon them. Ronan and the Kree attack. Annihilus' flagship is destroyed yet he lives. Nova confronts him, determined to put an end to Annihilus. The battle wages on as Richie (Starlord) and Phyla are forced to watch, unable to help as Nova has sealed them from the fight. As Nova lies near defeat, Phyla manages to break free and takes a shot at Annihilus. Upon contact, the quantum bands remove themselves from Annihilus and "choose" to go to Phyla. Phyla presses her attack but is taken out by Annihilus. Nova is not out of the fight yet. For the billions that died and the destruction of the Nova Corps, Nova reaches into Annihilus' mouth and tears out his inards. As Nova lies resting, he sees Thanos standing with Death. All those affected begin to rebuild themselves and their lives. In the end, it appears that Annihilus will live again. |
